"This lap pool was built in a small village in the emblematic Lubéron valley in Provence. It was installed following a change of ownership to replace the existing free-form pool that was located a long way from the house and not to the liking of the new occupants.
The new owners of this traditional bastide, who intend to use it as a second home in which to spend holidays with family and friends, hence transformed the old swimming pool into an ornamental pond with aquatic plants and fish, and commissioned a new, more contemporary pool with a resolutely sleek and spare design. It takes pride of place in front of the main facade of the house, forming a centrepiece of the garden and a key decorative element. Its 18-metre length is perfectly suited to the proportions of the bastide and to the surface area of its grounds, which extend over 4000 m2!
This lap pool includes two relaxation areas: one on the outside, in the form of a deck housing the plant room, and the other on the inside, comprising entry steps with seating providing the ideal place to cool down and unwind on a hot summer's day or after playing a few rounds of pétanque on the nearby court."
